In 1959 Georges Pilliet founded the Les Castels chain with the aim of encouraging chateau owners to open their domains to campers as a means of conserving and maintaining their family heritage. The first camping chain was born, one dedicated to providing campers with a warm welcome at high quality sites in superb natural settings.
For more than 50 years Les Castels has strived to maintain this subtle combination of tradition and modernity to create a chain with a unique personality, one rooted in history, respectful of nature and yet perfectly in tune with the needs of today’s holidaymaker.
